Dual Crown technology, the size of the crown is noticeably smaller than the large sole. Ultra-Thin Wall technology allows walls of the club head to measure as thin as just .55 millimeters. The weight saved by utilizing Dual Crown technology and Ultra-Thin Wall technology is redistributed low in the headf to create an exceptionally deep CG location that's also 35%* lower than previous TaylorMade Burner fairway woods. The TaylorMade 2008 Burner Fairway Wood is extremely easy to hit while promoting a lower spin-rate for greater distance. The Burner Fairway Wood has a fast-looking triangular head shape that looks large and inspires confidence when addressed to the ball. The large triangular head of the Burner High Launch makes possible an exceptionally deep CG location that makes it easy to launch the ball while also promoting greater stability and forgiveness. The Burner High Launch features the largest size and footprint of any TaylorMade steel fairway wood, and its MOI (Moment of Inertia) measures 6% higher than TaylorMade's previous Burner fairway woods. The 2008 Burner Fairway Wood features TaylorMade's SuperFast technology, to promote faster swing speed for increased distance. The Burner High Launch combines a SuperFast 49-gram graphite shaft with Arrow 2 ultra-light 44-gram grip.
